I am so happy that my fever is gone finally. It seemed like it was going to last for too long and that it was warming up the canal of Schlemm on my left eye. I could not tell why for certain or remember anything happening in particular to that eye so I thought maybe it was just generally being right-handed and my right-handedness caused that part of my face to ache from the long fever. The other thing about it was that my head seemed cold enough for a hat when the temperature went down when everyone else begin self-isolating, but it was still a low-grade temperature then went back up so I was told to not go to work and self-isolate for two weeks at least. It was a matter of timing that my follow up appointment was cancelled for the treatment I was having for what they thought was the flu. When I am better, after self-isolation, symptom-free, I can make the follow-up appointment again to see if it was from illnesses from my granddaughter and school, from the surgery I had, or COVID-19.
So, for now, my left eye definitely seems to have improved, I am working from home, I am not working in the hospital for a little while, and waiting to recover as much as I can. Recovery means feeling less tired, breathing better which includes talking more when needed — really just functioning somewhat better at those things. I will be at home at least another week and working online.
I will be in touch with my colleagues, friends, families, and doctors by phone and computer until I can be cleared to go back out and work at the office and hospital. They have mentioned that they want me to have the testing done for the virus, so that is something to do when allowed if they are still going to do that when I get better, or before I return to work, or however they are planning to proceed. I am also curious as to why I have been feeling so sick, but am mostly preoccupied with recovering.
