When my children were first born I knew that I understood conditioned reasoning behind politeness. You know, this one time as I was driving in my vehicle just entering the exit ramp I saw a rabbit’s foot. I had already this disappointing realization that the drive was not proceeding smoothly because the car in front seemed to be magnetizing my vehicle causing the brake system to not operate correctly. As I tried to adjust accordingly, fortunately, I thought, I had not been speeding, the two cars ahead, kept barrelling ahead. When I came to the right turn, a car of golden color in the haze of the sun was in the nearest perpendicular lane and I came to a stop but, behind me, I was hit really hard and it broke my neck. I had not heard that story about a rabbit’s foot and when you see one, but I have put it together. It was around the year I was learning to fabricate jewels and metal bracelets and necklaces when I wanted to go back to the United States for the most part when I would have typically heard that story but, you see, I was not home, I was on a trip. Fortunes are about having four walls, they have always been that; concretely and abstractly. It is knowing that you can look around at your surroundings that you have built, designed, and honored and cherish them. Now, this is somewhat different than an environment because it involves even when you are by yourself, particularly when you are a half centurion or so and very busy, so in this respect fortune is part of a perceived view in whatever type of four walls in which you dwell.
