#biden President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #average #biden #peson - ms-marvelnen - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 2713312 1003957 4982534 2475005 5238032 4651113 7619945 4098392 7708575 9658215 370252 8618248 5258861 7569560 7829835 943425 9481588 9144421 5256413 2109629 6884393 994551 3598056 3853951 8595624 8508716 6030602 649267 7433938 5561819 8328100 930411 917823 3940393 7913929 1732613 1317584 7988139 8937751 3452431 6346466 2421614 3224277 3956682 6576213 3781421 9428469 3754599 8173186 8506220 5259252 6453709 2056457 3079909 88026 1219671 3057882 4224310 7812401 6450011 5195019 9619360 2309749 6399204 1634118 2103695 308251 4948950 444596 2824876 9048349 3263849 9741681 1327109 8559496 540220 8309178 3018507 892359 9567731 285172 7007414 1164121 1332107 5020939 9765939 7756497 5352494 5704207 2593008 1504669 5012303 2824288 3341182 6217291 9559876 1091865 5389003 5394119 7030589 899291 9309231 2453082 4786168 7913639 5216381 4335011 6906730 6902243 6251167 821733 146321 8372413 6184697 4404076 2664684 9136731 6595019 8059387 2273260 382830 1597212 766778 3389803 9342960 586830 3108030 4440189 3176131 1975122 7810692 9914570 6117565 3375275 2557443 3804770 3536604 6213109 4913240 3628440 8955015 5232029 1725970 6779617 2651841 5856205 7820489 3405105 2919513 4887912 1356763 2531334 3594601 2500209 5665859 668306 3931815 5998123 9941749 4596987 9428492 8318963 3602110 2570624 4693215 6733242 1675519 635782 1940794 9720744 |
